Who we are

This website is operated by Alex Goss, trading as Alex Goss Digital Marketing ("I", "me", "my"). I'm a sole trader based in the UK. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can contact me at alex_goss05@outlook.com.

What personal data I collect

I collect personal data in the following ways:

• Contact form: when you fill in the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, and any message or details you choose to include.
• Website analytics: this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may collect information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, pages visited, and how long you spend on the site. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

Why I collect it

I use the information you submit through the contact form to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss and provide marketing services to you. This is based on my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about my services, and, where a contract is formed, to perform that contract.

I use Google Analytics data to understand how the site is used and to improve it. This is based on your consent, given via the cookie banner where applicable.

How long I keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes (typically up to 6 years, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements). If we don't end up working together, I'll delete your enquiry details within 12 months unless you ask me to keep them or contact me again.

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.

Who I share it with

I don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone. I share data with the following third parties only as needed to run this website and my business:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC) for website analytics.
• Email/hosting providers necessary to receive contact form submissions and run this website.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Ask me to correct inaccurate data
• Ask me to delete your data
• Object to or restrict how I use your data
• Ask for your data in a portable format
